1. Introduction
ElevatorZip LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, ElevatorZip Field (“the App”).
A user account is required to access the App. ElevatorZip Field is designed for elevator professionals, including field mechanics and office staff, and supports internal workflows such as creating and managing field-generated information and related records within your organization.
2. Information We Collect
a. Information You Provide
To access the App, we collect:
- Phone number
We use your phone number to authenticate you via SMS.
b. Authentication Information (SMS)
When you sign in, we send a temporary one-time PIN via SMS. This PIN is used only to verify your identity during login. We do not use passwords in the App.
c. Automatically Collected Data
We may collect technical and usage data, including:
- Device type and operating system
- App usage statistics
- Crash and performance data (to improve stability and performance)
d. Location Data (Optional, Temporary)
The App includes an optional feature that lets you tap “Use my current location” during address search to improve address autocomplete results.
- If you choose to use this feature, the App fetches GPS coordinates on your device (via Expo location services) and uses them temporarily to bias address results from the Google Places API toward nearby addresses.
- We do not store raw GPS coordinates in your account or on any record.
- Coordinates are held in memory only during the address-search modal session and are cleared when the modal closes.
- Only the selected address text (e.g., street/city/state) is saved when you choose an address.
e. Third-Party Services
We use the Google Maps / Google Places API for address search and map functionality. Use of Google services is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information to:
- Authenticate users and maintain account access
- Provide App functionality and save records created in the App
- Provide technical support
- Monitor performance, fix bugs, and improve the App
- Communicate with users regarding App-related issues (as needed)
4. Internal Sharing Within Your Organization
ElevatorZip Field is designed for use within a customer organization. Information created in the App may be visible to other authorized users in your company depending on roles and permissions. For example, mechanics may primarily view items they create, while office users or administrators may have broader visibility across the organization.
We do not publish your information to public web pages and do not provide public sharing links from ElevatorZip Field.
5. Data Sharing With Third Parties
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited information with vendors that help us operate the App (for example, SMS delivery providers for authentication and Google APIs for address search), solely to provide the service. These providers process data on our behalf and are expected to protect it.
6. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access, update, or delete your data
- Withdraw consent where applicable

The App is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
