ElevatorZip LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, Bolt – Search Elevator Parts (“the App”).

The App helps elevator professionals—such as mechanics and sales reps—search for elevator parts, conduct surveys of elevators, and share survey results via a public link. No personal information is ever shared in these published survey links.

When creating an account or logging in to use survey features, we collect:

  • -Name
  • -Email address
  • -A secure, hashed version of your password (used only for login)
  • -Phone number

b. Automatically Collected Data

We may collect technical and usage data, including:

  • Device type and operating system
  • App usage statistics
  • Crash and performance data (for improving app stability)

c. Location Data

When you conduct a survey, you can optionally attach a location. This may be your current location if selected. Location data is used only to identify and label the survey location and is not linked to personal identifiers in shared links.

d. Third-Party Services

We use the Google Maps API for address search and map functionality. Usage of Google Maps is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Authenticate users
  • Allow saving and sharing of surveys
  • Provide technical support and improve app performance
  • Communicate with users if needed

Survey links do not include personal information such as name, email, or phone number. They contain only the survey data, including the selected location and elevator-related information.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.

We employ appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your information. However, no system is 100% secure. We use strong encryption and secure protocols to store and protect user login credentials, including hashed and salted passwords. Passwords are never stored in plain text.
